INTRODUCTION
Today I am asking you to prayerfully consider being used by God in my life and the kingdom of God in a super important way.
I am seeking a financial partner and/or donors that will just help me fund some working tools. The equipment will transition me into a new career that will become my “tent making trade”. With the income from this full time work, I will become financially free to develop the emerging ministry part time.
My vision is to blend this income stream to meet my needs while launching the web-based ministry that I have already invested years in research and preparation.
After I have learned the basics of this “tent making trade” then that will pave the way for me to teach seminary students and others to do the same. After more than four years at the computer help desk for students I know dozens that could use extra income with flexible hours. My hope is that as graduates they could take this portable “tent making trade” anywhere in the world as new pastors and missionaries.
I intend to operate a ministry center near the campus that will serve the student’s various needs.
BODY
Background
I have worked at Dallas Theological Seminary for more than 4 years.
I have worked at the Help Desk of the Media Center in the library.
I have assisted hundreds of students with computer and printer problems.
God has used these years to train me in the uses of various medias.
I taught others how to
create Power Point shows
make newsletters
make and edit videos
burn CDs and DVDs
scan photos and import them from the web
I have come to know and love dozens of students and graduates.
God has given me a special love for international students and missionaries.
These courageous people are going to the front lines of spiritual conflicts.
All the seminary students deserve our love and prayers.
I have been developing ways to consistently increase their support base.
I seek to offer the students their own subsidized web site.
From there they can enroll and communicate with supporters.
These include friends, intercessors, advisors, accountability partners and donors.
Many of the students are gifted teachers and preachers.
There will be a way for them to minister over the web.
There will be audio messages, PDF files and Power Point slide shows.
I will open the door for other lay teachers like Sunday school teachers.
These teaching materials will be cross-indexed online by verses and topics.
It is my aim to make these materials available for free or a very low price.
It seems that those who want Christian education the most can afford it the least.
For many years to come this will be a growing online lay Bible institute.
There are four other key facets that I have in a 40-minute video that you can see.
These are Networking Hub, Information Clearinghouse, Think Tank and R & D Lab.
Also to counter balance the online ministry there will be offline ministry too.
The vision God has placed in my heart encompasses the DFW Metroplex.
The video gives the overview of how we can become better witnesses in our Jerusalem.
We will synergistically improve evangelism, discipleship and benevolence
The name of the emerging ministry is Our Metroplex Vision.

Until recently the main focus was on fund raising.
The initial fund raising goal was 40K of seed capital to build the web base platform.
The progress along this way was slow and difficult.
Then God brought across my path an alternative way to earn money.
At first I was very resistant.
But after prayer, talking with my pastor and friends I investigated the option.
The more I researched it, the more I liked the product and company.
Reluctantly at first and later with enthusiasm I have come to believe this is God’s will.
I can see how it can meet my short-term needs and long-term goals.
Opportunity
I have invested dozens of hours during the last month researching.
I have read hundreds of pages and listened to many tapes.
I attended local training sessions.
I went to the company home office in Greenville Tennessee.
There I enjoyed two days of intense training.
I am going to attend the national convention in mid August.
I have made a commitment to myself to do this full time.
I will give this my best until the end of the year.
Then I will reevaluate this as well as all parts of my life.
I take time every year between Christmas and New Years Day to look back and forward.

Also I ask for prayer throughout the week from individuals and groups.
Much prayer has already gone into this EcoQuest adventure and more will.
God will hear and answer prayers.
God will be glorified in how He benefits many through this enterprise.
Commitment
I am personally committed to work this full time plus until the New Year.
Each year I stop to evaluate my past year and seek God for the next year.
I have nothing better to do than this.
I will phase out of y part time job on the Help Desk at the seminary.
I will do this only as the income allows and it would be wise.
Teaching and training
I accept that I need to focus on retail sales in the short term.
Those commissions will pay the current bills and debts.
After I have learned what works and does not work then I can teach others.
I look forward to training people locally.
And I will train people all over the country by phone and email.
I have great confidence that I will excel at coaching others.
When I read and hear the parts about training, I get excited.
This activity will lead to large bonus checks.
